Topco Associates LLC Partners with Coretex to Support FSMA Guidelines and Cold Chain Solutions

July 01, 2016

Boston, MA July5, 2016 – Topco Associates LLC, the largest retail cooperative in the United States, partnered with Coretex, a leading supplier of asset management solutions for cold chain operators, to support Topco’s member-owners’ and customers’ efforts to adopt the upcoming Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) mandates. Topco offers business solutions to its 50+ food industry member-owners and customers to increase operational efficiencies and reduce costs. Adhering to the April 2017 FSMA requirements is critical to the Topco client base as the legislation aims to ensure both human and animal foods are free of contamination across the food supply and during transport.

“Coretex understands the advanced business needs of food service companies that require cold chain solutions. Their knowledge in this area and world-class solutions were critical to choosing them as our business partner, stated Greg Magrisi, Topco’s Vice President, Indirect Spend Solutions. “Working with Coretex, we feel confident that our membership will meet all the necessary FSMA requirements and implement the appropriate technology in the required timeframe, Magrisi concluded.

Coretex delivers sophisticated software, hardware and business intelligence capabilities that are transforming fleet management systems across the globe, ensuring organizations are in control of their compliance requirements, cost efficiencies, keeping workers safe, and enabling revenue growth.

“Our team is excited to be working with Topco and its members to ensure they are at ease with the FSMA requirements," said Dean Marris, President Cold Chain for Coretex, “The mandates can be overwhelming at times. Coretex will develop and supply individual solutions for each Topco company so every cold chain manager can better control their operations with intelligent information. We will support one platform for a reefer, dry van, in-cab or other refrigeration methods as needed, Marris added.

The Topco/Coretex partnership will be managed by Topco’s Logistics & Distribution Team.
